Midwest's No. 11 DT Antonio Shelton Has Committed To Penn State

Penn State's staff landed a crucial piece in their 2016 recruiting class with the addition of Westerville (Ohio) Westerville-North defensive tackle Antonio Shelton, who was previously committed to Illinois. The newest commit talks about his commitment with us.

Antonio Shelton has committed to Penn State.

"There's nothing else like Penn State," Shelton said.

What exactly does he mean?

"Everything — the coaches, facilities, fan base, atmosphere. And last but not least, the tradition," said the 6-foot-2, 263-pound Shelton

Shelton believes more commitments could be coming for Penn State from this weekend's visitors.

"The receiver from Florida (Dredrick Snelson) and Florida defensive end (Rashad Weaver) could be next to join me at PSU," he said.

As for what the three-star defensive tackle commit plans to major in at Penn State?

"I will major in kinesiology," Shelton said.

Shelton will sign his national letter of intent at 2:15 pm at Westerville-North High on Jan. 3.
