Penn State’s Chambers On Roman Trio

The Nittany Lion coach talks about watching three of his future players win the Philadelphia Catholic League title at the Palestra.

Penn State coach Pat Chambers had a busy Monday.

After an afternoon practice, he jumped in the university’s private plane for a quick flight to Philadelphia. There, he watched Roman Catholic High top Neumann-Goretti 72-65 at the legendary Palestra to win its second straight Catholic League title.

Roman was led by forward Lamar Stevens, who (according to Philly.com) had 22 points, 13 rebounds and three assists.

And … guard Tony Carr, who had 21 points, seven rebounds and three assists.

And … guard Nazeer Bostick, who had 12 points and 11 rebounds.

All three Cahillite seniors have signed with the Nittany Lions and will be PSU freshmen next season.

See what Chambers had to say about watching his future players capture such a big game in such a great environment.
