Penn State's Zettel Benching For Good Cause At Combine

See how the former Nittany Lion is using the NFL Combine to benefit Uplifting Athletes. You can be part of the fun.

Former Penn State star Anthony Zettel has chosen to make the 2016 NFL Combine a platform to inspire the rare disease community with hope through the power of sport.

The defensive lineman is doing a Reps For Rare Diseases campaign for Uplifting Athletes through the Penn State Chapter in support of the rare disease community. Fans can pledge to donate for every bench press repetition Zettel performs at the NFL Combine. He will hit the bench Saturday, so get in on the action now.

Zettel, an Uplifting Athletes Letterman, served as part of the leadership team for the Penn State Chapter and participated in Lift For Life each summer he was on campus.

The Penn State Chapter has raised more than $1 million for Uplifting Athletes to support kidney cancer research and benefit the rare disease community.

Uplifting Athletes inspires the rare disease community with hope through the power of sport and empowers medical researchers to find cures. A rare disease is one that affects fewer than 200,000 Americans and consequently lacks financial incentive to make and market new treatments.

Founded in 2007, Uplifting Athletes has college football student-athlete led chapters nationwide in FBS and FCS programs including half the schools in the Big Ten and ACC.

Become teammates with Zettel to help impact the rare disease community by making a pledge today.
