Penn State Signees Star In PIAA Title Game

Lamar Stevens, Tony Carr and Nazeer Bostick came up big as Philadelphia Roman Catholic won its second consecutive state championship.

HERSHEY, Pa. — With Penn State signees Lamar Stevens (No. 11), Tony Carr (No. 10) and Nazeer Bostick (No. 4) leading the way, Phiiladephia Roman Catholic cruised to its second-straight PIAA AAAA title here Saturday night. Roman topped Allderdice 73-62 at the Giant Center.

Nittany Lion coach Pat Chambers and his staff watched from the stands as Stevens scored 27 points to lead the Cahillites. His performance included a handful of dunks. Bostick added 15 points, while Carr came through with 13 points and eight rebounds.
