Thorpe Enjoys Latest Visit To Penn State

The offensive lineman from Pittsburgh and Nittany Lion legacy was back on campus Friday.

Pittsburgh Central Catholic offensive tackle C.J. Thorpe visited Penn State Friday.

While the Nittany Lions appear to have the inside track on the 6-foot-4, 304-pounder whose father (Chris) played at PSU, Thorpe is claiming no favorites and said he has yet to establish a top five.

But he has made multiple visits to Happy Valley, this was another good one.

"It was great, they showed a lot of love,” Thorpe said. “The entire coaching staff was at the door and greeted me. My parents and Coach (James) Franklin had a conversation while I was talking with the new offensive line coach (Matt Limegrover). After talking to the coaches, I watched the team practice."

Thorpe will likely be back on campus for the April 16 Blue-White Game. Before then, he’ll be doing some traveling. What is in store before that?

"I'll be down in the South in two weeks to visit Alabama, Auburn, Georgia and one other school that I can't remember at this time," Thorpe said.
