Chambers On PSU CVC’s 20th Anniversary

The Nittany Lion coach talks about the growth and impact of the annual golf tournament, which has raised more than $2.5 million for the fight against cancer.

It is Coaches vs. Cancer Celebrity Golf Tournament week in Happy Valley. And this version of the annual event holds special meaning. This marks the 20th anniversary of the tournament, which has raised more than $2.5 million for the fight against cancer. Nittany Lion coach Pat Chambers is hoping that figure pushes past $3 million this year.

The event includes Thursday night’s reception at the Penn State Golf Courses and then the actual tournament itself on the courses Friday. Some 300 golfers are expected to participate. We caught up with Chambers prior to the reception for a quick Film & Fire interview about CVC.
