Penn State RB Saquon Barkley Meets The Press

See what the Nittany Lions' standout sophomore had to say as his second season in Happy Valley nears. How have things changed from 2015? How is the O-line playing? Can he see PSU playing more than one back at the same time? He tackles these questions and more.

Following Wednesday morning's practice, Penn State sophomore RB Saquon Barkley was asked if there is a difference in the way he feels physically from this same time last year. Then, he was a true freshman trying to prove himself. Now, he's regarded as one of the best backs in the nation.

But on the physical end of things, he said the preseason is always tough.

"Camp is camp,” he said. "It's a grind. Your body's gonna hurt, no matter what. You're coming out here and putting your body through a lot."

Barkley's body may have been a little sore, but his mind was sharp as ever. He fielded questions for nearly 15 minutes, tackling everything from X's and O's to the quarterback competition to the development of the offensive line.
