FOS PODCAST: Get To Know PSU Assistant Tim Banks

If you have not had a chance to hear how the Nittany Lions' newest assistant coach comes across in interviews, this is the prefect opportunity. The Michigan native talks about returning to his home state to face the Wolverines, recruiting in Detroit, Koa Farmer moving to linebacker, what's going on at the safety positions and much more.

Each week, Penn State makes one assistant coach available to the media via conference call.

The timing for this week's interview subject could not have been better.

Tim Banks is the Nittany Lions' new safeties coach, and there is plenty going on at the position as PSU prepares to face No. 4 Michigan in Ann Arbor Saturday. Second-teamer Koa Farmer has been moved to linebacker, to bolster that injury-depleted unit.

Also, Banks is a Detroit native who played his college ball at Central Michigan. So this week's trip will be a homecoming of sorts.

You can hear what Banks had to say on a variety of topics — facing the Wolverines, Koa Famer moving to linebacker, Nick Scott taking on a greater role in the secondary, depth at safety, recruiting in Detroit and more.
