Penn State's only has three players from Florida on its roster, but that hasn't stopped three-star 2018 athlete Miles Jones from American Heritage High School (FL) from showing interest in the Nittany Lions.
Jones has three offers from Syracuse, West Virginia and Mississippi State. Jones is also receiving interest from Central Florida, Indiana and Michigan State. "Coaches like my versatility and speed," said Jones. "They are impressed when looking at my film and seeing I line up all over the field. I line up in the slot (wide receiver), at running back and kick returner."
Jones does not have an unofficial visit lined up for Penn State but plans to take a few elsewhere in the next couple of months. "I've taken two unofficial visits to Miami this month," said Jones. "I plan on taking unofficial visits to Central Florida, Florida State, West Virginia and Michigan State. Michigan State asked me to take an on-campus visit."
Jones has not been to Penn State nor has he talked with anyone on the coaching staff. However, Jones says he is interested in learning more about Penn State. "I like that Penn State has moved to more of a spread offense," said Jones. "That's good for my skill set. Penn State also has a good reputation for academics." Given the distance between Florida and Pennsylvania, it may seem surprising that Jones would be interested in Penn State. Jones assuredly said, "Penn State is close enough for them to be travel to games."
