Weather Alert: Penn State-Minnesota Forecast

WTAJ chief meteorologist Joe Murgo is advising fans who plan to attend this weekend's game between the Nittany Lions and Golden Gophers to bring along their rain gear.

WTAJ chief meteorologist Joe Murgo is predicting a partially wet day when Penn State plays host to Minnesota at Beaver Stadium Saturday.

The games kicks at 3:30 p.m. Murgo says fans should be prepared for some soggy tailgating around the stadium. Temperatures will be in the 50s earlier in the day, so prepare for that, as well.

It should get warmer for the game, according to Murgo, with temps climbing into the 60s. And the chance for participation will drop, too.

"I don't think it's going to be a total washout,” Murgo said.

However, just in case, he is advising fans to bring along their rain fear for inside the stadium.

In related news, Penn State is reminding fans that umbrellas are NOT allowed inside Beaver Stadium. So leave those in your vehicle.
