Big Ten Honors Nittany Lions for OSU Efforts

The Big Ten has honored three Nittany Lions for their outstanding performances that were instrumental in knocking off the No. 2 Buckeyes.

The Big Ten has honored three @Penn State players for their game-changing performances in helping the Nittany Lions beat Ohio State 24-21.

Linebacker Brandon Bell was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week who grabbed 18 tackles against Ohio State and was instrumental in PSU's massive defensive effort in the victory.

This is Penn State's third consecutive Defensive Player of the Week honor, which hasn't happened for PSU since Michael Mauti, Gerald Hodges and Jordan Hill accomplished the same in 2012.

Safety Marcus Allen and cornerback Grant Haley were each named Co-Special Teams Player of the Week for their joint effort to put the Lions ahead in the game. Allen blocked the Buckeye's late field goal attempt while Haley scooped up the blocked ball, running it back for the go-ahead score.
