"This was by far one of the best experiences I've had," said Cohill about his unofficial visit to Happy Valley during a weekend that saw the PSU football team defeat Ohio State (ranked No. 2 at the time) 24-21. "The atmosphere was unbelievable all day and night."
The Nittany Lions, who have one commit so far in the 2018 class, went out of their way to show that they want Cohill to be part of the PSU basketball family. http://www.scout.com/college/penn-state/story/1719381-psu-fans-now-get-s...
"I spent time with the entire basketball team, the coaches and their families," said Cohill. "It was a great experience just being in that kind of atmosphere with the fans welcoming me."
Cohill, who also has offers from the likes of Ohio State, West Virginia and Texas, says he has no more visits lined up before the start of his basketball season. "I haven't been on any other visits this month (only Penn State) and I believe that I'm done taking unofficial visits for a little bit so that I am able to focus on my high school season."
The 6-foot-2, 170-pound point guard has seen his star rise tremendously in the past several months but is taking it all in stride. "I've seen my recruiting take a big jump along with my game," said Cohill. "It's taken a lot to maintain those things, along with school, but I've been handling it very well."
Cohill says that the Penn State coaching staff loves his skill set and his attitude toward the game of basketball. "The coaches (Penn State) love my leadership and my effectiveness on both ends of the court," said Cohill. "They love the 'dog' that I have in me and the will and passion that I have for the game."
Cohill currently does not have any favorites and isn't in a hurry to make a decision.
"I'm just letting everything play out and enjoying the process."
