Three-star offensive guard Wyatt Blake (Crystal Lake H.S., IL.) said his Penn State visit was solid.

Wyatt Blake, a three-star offensive guard from Illinois in the 2018 class, talked to about his first visit to Penn State.

Penn State hosted over two dozen prospects this past weekend for their game against Iowa.  One of those players was 2018 three-star offensive guard Wyatt Blake out of Illinois.  Blake currently has Power 5 offers from Indiana, Missouri, Northwestern and Virginia.  This was Blake's first time at Penn State and even though he didn't come away with an offer, Blake had great things to say about his visit.

"My visit was solid," said Blake.  "The crowd in the stadium was absolutely electric.  I got a chance to talk to Coach (Ricky) Rahne and Coach (Matt) Limengover before the game.  I loved the atmosphere and that was huge."

The Penn State coaching staff has watched film on Blake and will give him a more personal evaluation in the future.  Blake added, "The coaching staff likes how I finish my blocks and they see me fitting in as an interior lineman.  They plan on coming to Illinois in the spring of next year and we'll go from there."

Penn State is the first of several visits that Blake has planned for this month.

"I'll be going to Missouri (offer), Notre Dame, and Vanderbilt this month."

Cleezy's take: Blake is on Penn State's radar and if an offer were to come, based on my conversation with Blake, it probably won't happen until the coaching staff gets to evaluate him this spring.
