2018 CB Kenny White (PA) talks about his first-time visit to Penn State

2018 cornerback Kenny White (West Allegheny High School, PA) talks about his visit to Penn State and where he stands with the coaching staff.

West Allegheny (PA) junior defensive back Kenny White has established himself as one of the better in-state recruits over the last two seasons and has started to get considerable interest from Penn State.  White was on hand this past weekend as the Lions defeated Iowa 41-14.  It marked the first time that White has been to Penn State and says that the Nittany Lions are showing great interest in him.

"The visit went really well," said White.  "The coaching staff said they would be recruiting me hard in the future.  I spoke mostly with Coach (Terry) Smith (defensive backs).  I plan on coming back in a few weeks for their game against Michigan State (Nov. 26)."

White was able to witness the Nittany Lions win their fifth game in a row and said he enjoyed everything about the visit.

"The game was awesome," White said.  "The atmosphere was something else.  Everyone was hyped during the pre-game and there were people dancing to the music.  Everything about Penn State is great."

White's West Allegheny High School football team is 10-0 and currently still in the district playoffs.

Cleezy's take: White's current highlight video has more highlights on the offensive side of the ball because his team has been dominating teams since their first game.  Coach Terry Smith's ties to Western Pennsylvania are well documented and he is very familiar with White's skills as a defensive back.
