Penn State's Brian Gaia has been honored as the center selection to Pro Football Focus' Team of the Week for his performance in helping the Nittany Lions upend Indiana with a 45-31 comeback victory. As PFF stated:
"He was strong at the point of attack in the run game, making a number of key blocks and losing few while surrendering only one pressure on the day."
Gaia was instrumental to PSU's offensive line which has been riddled with injuries and moves, most recently losing Paris Palmer and Connor McGovern. Gaia helped pave the way for a comeback that saw over 400 yards of offense and 45 points.
Aside from Gaia who graded out among the top in the nation this week (85.2), Garrett Sickels and Derek Dowrey also graded out impressively with Sickles at the top spot for ends in the Big Ten (83.2) and Dowrey in the No. 2 spot for offensive guards in the conference.
