McSorley Wins Player of IU Game Honor

Penn State fans vote quarterback Trace McSorley their Fight On State Player of the Indiana Game for his performance in leading the team's comeback.

Penn State fans have selected quarterback Trace McSorley as the Fight On State Player of the Indiana Game for his instrumental role in the squads 45-31 comeback road victory. On the day McSorley went 16 for 30 for 332 yards with a pair of touchdowns. He also ran for  13 yards on eight carries.

The young passer beat out wide receiver Chris Godwin, linebacker Brandon Bell and defensive end Garrett Sickels with an impressive 61 percent of the fan vote.

McSorley continues his impressive run under center for the Nittany Lions and has played an instrumental role on a variety of fronts for the Blue and White. In fact he leads FBS football in terms of yards per completion with 15.93 YPC. 

The Fight On State Player of the Game is the oldest honor given to Penn State players by Penn State fans. Voting is conducted exclusively on FightOnState.com after every PSU football game.
