Penn State to Face USC in Rose Bowl

The B1G champion Nittany Lions will face the Trojans in Pasadena in a rematch of the Rose Bowl following the 2008 season.

The last time Penn State went to the Rose Bowl was following the 2008 season, which ended in a 38-24 loss to USC. Well, the Nittany Lions get a rematch in the Rose Bowl this year as they once again face off with the Trojans in the Jan. 2 ga,e. USC sits at 9-3 and ended up second in the Pac-12 South division.

While No. 5 Penn State has been called one the hottest tams in the country — with nine straight wins and a championship in the toughest conference in the nation, the No. 9 Trojans are also considered among the hottest squad with eight straight wins. So it's no surprise this should an one of the hottest post-season matchups.

Where Penn State beat playoff selection No. 3 Ohio State, USC beat No. 4 Washington last month.

In terms of total offense, USC is ranked No. 28 and No. 30 in total defense.
