Pittsburgh Central Catholic four-star offensive lineman C.J. Thorpe committed to Penn State last April. He was following in the footsteps of his dad, Chris, who played for the Nittany Lions back in the 1980s. http://www.scout.com/college/football/recruiting/story/1748129-visit-mad...
But that didn't stop C.J. Thorpe from taking an official visit to UCLA earlier this month. Following that trip, Thorpe said he had to take an official visit to Penn State before he could "figure everything out." He was also considering a late-January visit to Michigan.
Well, that visit to PSU occured this weekend, as Thorpe was in Happy Valley with the rest of the members of the James' Franklin' Class of 2017. And by Sunday afternoon, he had figured everything out.
"There is no reason for me to lead on Michigan,” Thorpe told FOS recruiting reporter Patrick Loney. "I know I belong at Penn State with Coach Franklin and the staff."
