Brandon Smith

2019 OLB Brandon Smith plans to visit Penn State in the near future.

Sophomore linebacker Brandon Smith (VA) recently received his first FBS offer.

One of top outside linebackers in the state of Virginia's 2019 class, Brandon Smith, received his first FBS offer from Virginia last week.  Smith has a couple of Junior Day visits that he plans on attending and one of those visits will be to Penn State.

Smith told FightOnState.com that he plans to visit Penn State on Mar. 25 for their Junior Day.  "Penn State invited me to their Junior Day in March and I was told that they (the coaches) are very interested in me," said Smith.  "They're recruiting me as an outside linebacker."

Smith says that he's been in contact with Penn State recruiting coordinator Mike Villagrana.  "Coach Villagrana told me that he was impressed with how athletic I am for my size and that I play from sideline to sideline," said Smith.  When Smith does come to Penn State, it will be his first time ever visiting the school.

"I heard that it's a great school and I look forward to visiting."

Smith will be visiting Clemson on Mar. 4 for their Junior Day.
