PSU Wresters Prep for NCAA Championships

Penn State's wrestling team, which placed second in the Big Ten Tournament, looks to make a run at its sixth NCAA team title in last seven years.

Penn State's wrestling team prepares for the 2017 NCAA Wrestling Championships with eight top five seeds among its nine qualified wrestlers, including two number one seeds. The defending national champion Nittany Lions have won five of the last six NCAA team championships and feature six underclassmen, including two true freshman, in their NCAA lineup. The Lions placed second in the Big Ten Tournament and were crowned the regular season Big Ten Champion.

The Nittany Lions, ranked No. 1, are 14-0 and 9-0 in the Big Ten and head to St. Louis for the NCAA Championships for the event that runs from Thursday March 16 through Saturday, March 18. The tournament will air on ESPN.
