Penn State Lacrosse No. 1 in Coaches Poll

With an 8-0 record, its best season start in program history, Penn State men's lacrosse continues to put together an impressive run to open the season, picking up another No. 1 ranking.

Earlier this month Penn State men's lacrosse was ranked No. 1 in US Lacrosse Magazine's national collegiate poll thanks to its 8-0 undefeated start, the best start in the program's history. With this week's update, the Nittany Lions remain No. 1 in the US Lacrosse Magazine poll ahead of Notre Dame, Ohio State, Rutgers and Hofstra.

Now, Penn State has also advanced to No. 1 in the USILA Coaches poll with 383 points, ahead of No. 2 Notre Dame (371 points), Rutgers (351), Ohio State (318) and Syracuse (306).

Both of these polls have four Big Ten member teams in the top 10 (Penn State, Ohio State, Rutgers and Maryland) and six in the top 20, with Michigan and Johns Hopkins.
