The month of May has been nothing short of outstanding for Class of 2019 safety/outside linebacker Marcel Brooks.  Brooks has received ten offers during the month of May. Those offers include the ones he received today from LSU, Penn State and TCU. Brooks referred to Penn State as his "dream school" while making the announcement via twitter:

Brooks recently spoke with Scout.com's Andrew Hattersley and had this to say about what some college coaches feel he needs to work on:

“Just covering, I have been posting a lot of videos of me covering because a lot of people said I can hit, but they want to see me covering in the deep third and stuff like that,” Brooks said, “I’ve been getting a lot of film to get ready to tweak some of my coverage and stuff because I’m just flushing out my weaknesses.“

Cleezy's Quick Take: It's not a surprise when I hear that a college coach wants to see a high school linebacker in coverage. When you view a high school linebacker's highlight reel, it usually includes plays that mostly show him either making tackles or sacking/rushing the quarterback. Usually colleges will want to see a full game from the player and/or the player in person at one of their prospect camps. Of course, if you're creative like Brooks, you can create your own video to show your skills to college coaches. Brooks is a sure tackler with a hard-hitting style of play. Brooks also plays wide receiver for his high school team.
