About To Announce Top 5, 4-Star DB Isheem Young Talks PSU

The Philadelphia standout explains why Nittany Lion coach James Franklin is standing out to him and more.

Pennsylvania four-star safety prospect Isheem Young recently announced on Twitter that he’ll be revealing his final five schools any day now.

Or, as he put it, “dropping my top 5 soon.”

Young has been a frequent visitor to Happy Valley, having made two trips this year already. He has friends in the PSU program, including former Philadelphia Imhotep teammate Shaka Toney, a redshirt freshman defensive end for the Nittany Lions.

So it will be surprising if James Franklin's program does not make the cut when Young’s final five … uh … drops.

With that in mind, Scout’s Sam Hellman caught up with Young at the recent Under Armour All-America Camp in New Jersey to ask about recruiting in general and Penn State in particular.

In the video above, Young talks about one of the reasons Franklin is setting himself apart from other head coaches, where he would see him fitting into the PSU defense if he joins it one day and two of the most important keys when it comes to making his final decision.

Check it out above.
