In an effort to squelch the internet rumor that Tyrell was possibly wavering on his commitment to Penn State, LionNews spoke briefly last night with Tyrell's father. He affirmed that Tyrell was still solid with his commitment to Penn State and was not wavering as far as he knew.
A quick chat with Brian Brohm's father revealed that Penn State, namely Jay Paterno, has been in touch recently.
"Yeah, they've been calling him once a week," Brian's father said. He then deferred to Brian, who was not home at the time, as to whether or not Brian has interest in Penn State. LionNews will follow up.
A brief conversation with Xavier Lee indicated that he has not heard from PSU recently. He doesn't think they called this month.
Xavier listed his current favorites.
"Florida State and a few others like Ohio State, Syracuse, Tennessee and Auburn."
