"Yes, I did," he said. "I committed to them last Monday night. Duke is just a great school academically. I love it. I went down there in the spring and I had a great time with the coaches. I think that I can definitely be an impact player when I get there. They really want me there. It's a great place to be."
Last season, while playing for Gilman High in Baltimore, Maryland, Malcolm
ran for 14 TDs and 1,200 yards.
Malcolm also had scholarship offers from Syracuse, Wake Forest, Penn State, LSU, Iowa, Boston College and Virginia. He previously favored Virginia, but his growing interest in Duke combined with dwindling interest from the Cavaliers made his decision clear.
"I haven't heard from Virginia since I went to their camp," he said .
"In the spring, I was definitely set on Virginia, but things change."
Malcolm is excited to be attending Duke next fall with his teammate, FB Mike Dowling, who also committed to Duke in the beginning of July.
Malcolm has good grades and is already qualified.
He plans to major in pre-law.
