85% Chance He Will Commit To PSU

Penn State is recruiting him the hardest, and is now his favorite. He will most likely take official visits to a few other schools before making a final decision.

Name: Marshawn Harvey
Position: QB / FS / WR
Height: 6'4"
Weight: 195 pounds
40-yard dash: 4.56 (at PSU camp)
School: Huguenot High School in Richmond, VA

Marshawn is a very versatile athlete.  On offense, he plays QB and a little WR. He plays FS on defense.  According to Marshawn, he has four offers right now.

"Penn State, Michigan, Tennessee and Arizona Western I think," Marshawn said.

Marshawn attended a camp this summer at Penn State.  He returned to Penn State this past weekend to attend the Ohio State game.

"I went up with my coach, Richard McFee,  and teammates Nicholas Hamlor, Alvin Harris, Trevor Robinson, DeAndre Horne and Kevin Bailey," he said.  "It was nice seeing him [Joe Paterno] break the record.  His whole family was there.  It was nice, it was nice."

He also attended the post-game press conference.

Nicholas Hamlor is a 6'2", 240-pound senior, and also attended a PSU camp this summer, where he reportedly ran a 4.6 40-yard dash.  He plays DE, FB and some OT for Huguenot.  According to Marshawn, Penn State is recruiting Hamlor, but has not offered.  Marshawn also said that Michigan has offered Nicholas a scholarship.

"We're going to try to go to the same school," Marshawn said, "but it doesn't really affect my decision much."

Marshawn said that Bill Kenney is recruiting him for Penn State as a FS and QB.  Marshawn favors Penn State "by a lot" right now, and said that there is an 85% chance that he would eventually commit to the Nittany Lions..

"It's a very nice atmosphere, and a friendly environment.  I also get along with the coaching staff."

Marshawn has not yet scheduled any official visits, but will visit Penn State, Michigan, Tennessee and probably West Virginia.  In addition to Penn State, he has already visited Michigan and Virginia unofficially.

He has a 2.8 GPA, but is not yet qualified.  He recently took the SAT and is awaiting the results.
