In a December 9 update we reported on Daryll Clark's official visit to Penn State. He was very impressed with his visit and told us Penn State was his co-favorite along with West Virginia. Yesterday, Daryll told us that he is still planning January visits to West Virginia, Nebraska, Iowa and Toledo.

Penn State remains very interested in Clark and continues to stay in touch. Daryll talked by phone last week with Jay Paterno.

"They were just touching base, seeing how everything is going, just checking up on me as far as how basketball is going, just showing interest and just checking to see how everything is. Nothing too big as far as come to Penn State or nothing like that. They did tell me they were waiting on me. They're going to wait to see what I do."

Does he have a favorite?

"Actually, yes. Penn State. They're the college showing the most interest right now and I've been up there already. So that has an advantage over all the other colleges so far. I haven't been to the other colleges. I don't know what kind of an effect they (the other colleges) are going to have on me as far as my decision. They're the leader because I've been up there and I've seen it and I like what I have seen."

Any chance of committing before the January visits?

"I'm not sure yet. I kind of have an idea of where I'm going to go but I'm not going to reveal that right now."
