Is QB Nearing a Final Decision?

Ohio quarterback Daryll Clark, who took an official visit to PSU last month, discusses recruiting and his official visit plans. Are the Nittany Lions still his favorite?

Name: Daryll Clark
Position: QB
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 195 pounds
40-yard dash: 4.7 seconds
Hometown/School: Ursuline HS, Youngstown, OH

Daryll, has already taken official visits to two of his final four teams. He visited both Penn State and Toledo last month. He has a visit to Nebraska scheduled for the 23rd of this month.

"I'm probably going to go to West Virginia next week (1/16)," Clark added.

Have his favorites been in contact with him recently?

"I talked to [Penn State] Coach Jay Paterno a couple days ago. He was just checking up on me because they're back to one call a week now."

"I talked to West Virginia the day of their bowl game, a couple hours before it."

"I haven't talked to [Nebraska] in a little bit."

The Huskers, of course, have not yet found a head coach.

"I haven't really been paying attention, but I don't know what they're going to do. You would think that they'd have a coach by now."

Daryll still lists the Nittany Lions as his favorite. PSU quarterbacks coach Jay Paterno has not pressured Clark for a decision.

"No, he's not [pressuring me], but they're supposed to come up next week, I don't know what day, to see me and I think I'm going to commit then. I think it's Jay and Joe [coming]."

What are the odds of Daryll committing during the coaches' visit?

"Probably 75%," Clark estimated.

Even if he follows through and makes a verbal commitment, Daryll still plans on visiting West Virginia and Nebraska.

"I'm still taking the visits. No doubt."

Of course, the obvious question is, 'Why take additional visits if he's already made a commitment?'

"Just to take them I guess."
