Kwakou has been a huge part of Poly's success this year.
"We have one more game on Saturday," Kwakou (pronounced KWAY koo) said. "We're 7-0."
His stellar play has earned him offers from dozens of schools, but Kwakou has begun to narrow the list of prospective schools down. He offered his top 5 list.
"Probably Ohio State, Virginia, Miami, Notre Dame, Michigan State, that's probably it. Those are not in order."
He said that he does not really have a favorite among those teams.
Previously, Kwakou had Penn State higher on his list of favorite teams, and expected to take an official visit to Penn State.
"Yeah, I did [have them higher], but it just didn't click the way I want it to. I've been there twice, for a Junior Day in August and the Miami game. They're up there. They would probably be number 6. Penn State is my number 6 school."
Penn State has maintained regular contact with Kwakou.
"Yes, I talk to Coach Norwood often. I get along well with him and Coach Johnson."
Kwakou took his first official visit on October 14, to Ohio State.
"I could see myself there for 4 or 5 years. My host was Will Smith, the DE. The coaching staff there is great, the city itself is nice, the campus is beautiful, and the crowd is loud. I mean, 102,000, what is there to say about it? They played Wisconsin, Wisconsin won.
"I got to meet all the coaches. I had already met them before, over the summer, because I went to a camp there.
"I click there, I just felt it."
Kwakou has started scheduling other official visits.
"I have a visit scheduled for Virginia on November 17, and no others yet."
He will most likely use his remaining 3 official visits to visit his other favorites, namely, Miami, Notre Dame and Michigan State.
"Probably, but you never know. I could easily be visiting Penn State after the Virginia visit. I think everybody's list changes from time to time. When you don't commit, it's harder. The list could change and Penn State could be my number 3 school."
Right now, it looks as though Ohio State is the team to beat, and Penn State is on the outside looking in.
