"I was playing free safety," Nick said, "but I stopped playing that this year."
Actually, Nick hasn't played much of anything this year. He hurt his foot during a practice before the season started, and has only played one full game this season.
"I played in one game in the middle of the season. I was still hurt then, but I decided to come back and play. I played and rushed for 176 yards and 3 touchdowns. I was still hurt though, so I really wasn't supposed to play. I played the following week and re-injured my foot. I left the game in the second quarter because of my foot, but then I looked at my finger, and my finger was broke. I had to get 2 pins in my finger. My foot's all healed, but now I have 2 pins in my finger. The pins are going to come out next Friday. When they come out, I'm back in action. I'm playing the same day."
Even though Nick has been unable to see significant playing time this year, there are still several teams after the talented running back.
"I have offers from Georgia, Florida, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Notre Dame, Penn State, North Carolina, Auburn, Mississippi State, Florida State, Miami, Michigan State, I can go on if you want me to."
Does Nick have favorites at this point in time?
"No sir, not really. I do have 2 visits that I have set up. I go to Georgia on December 7, and to Florida sometime in January. I'm not sure about the other visits. In about 2 or 3 weeks, I should know where I'm going to take my other visits, as the season narrows down."
Nick stated that even though he has only scheduled visits to Georgia and Florida so far, that does not mean that they are his favorites. He also attended a camp at Auburn this summer.
Distance is not a problem for Nick. He will be focusing on the opportunity for early playing time and academics.
"Playing time is very important."
What teams stand out to Nick as needing a running back?
"Georgia Tech, Georgia, Florida is going to need a good back next year, most schools. Notre Dame said they need a good one, Michigan State said they need a good one and Penn State needs a good one."
Nick is still interested in the Nittany Lions.
When asked what interested him about Penn State, Nick simply answered, "Penn State. Just the tradition that Penn State has, the backs they've had. They've had good backs, just the history of Penn State really."
