Paul Anderson is a two-way prospect from Brooklyn, New York who is attracting a lot of interest from big-time schools. Anderson led Brooklyn Poly Prep to an 8-1 record last fall while starting at wide receiver and linebacker. Paul scored nine touchdowns on only 24 touches and registered 69 tackles. He was named second team All-Brooklyn by the New York Daily News. Lion News recently had the opportunity to speak with Paul about his future.

We asked Paul if he was being recruited for offense or defense.

He told us, "A couple schools are recruiting me for defense and other schools don't really know yet." What position on defense? "Linebacker and strong safety." Does he have a preference? "I'm pretty comfortable on both sides of the ball, but I guess I see myself playing defense in college."

Paul told us he already has offers in hand from Boston College, Duke and Syracuse and that he is receiving serious interest from Virginia, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Penn State. Has he taken any unofficial visits?

"No, I haven't taken any of those yet. I think I will in April. I visited Boston College. I went to their camp last summer. But that was it."

Did Paul get any invites to junior days?

"Yes, Penn State, Maryland, Ohio State, Michigan State, Notre Dame and UVA. (There's) just not enough time with school and all that stuff. I think I'm going to go to see Maryland in April and Penn State in May, I think."

Is the May visit to Penn State in conjunction with the Nike camp? Paul responded, "It's just a visit. It's their junior day or something like that."

Will he participate in any Nike camps. "I haven't really thought about it yet. I'll have to speak to my coach about that."

We asked Paul if he had any favorite college teams while growing up. He laughed, "Not really. Whoever was the winning team."

Will Paul attend any camps this summer?

"I made a list. I think I'm going to go down to UVA, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan and Maryland. "
