Florida LB Buster Davis

Penn State has offered Buster Davis, one of the top LB prospects in the country. It looks like Buster will leave the state of Florida. Is PSU in the picture?

Name: James "Buster" Davis
Position: LB
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 230 pounds
40-yard dash: 4.45
Bench Press: 370
Offers: "around 60"
School: Mainland High, Daytona, Florida

3 of Buster's official visits are already spoken for.

"I have Ohio State on December 14, and Southern Cal on January 25.  I just got back from one today, to Nebraska.

"It went real well.  I was very impressed with the facilities, the game (Kansas State), the players, the coaches.  I was very impressed with everybody and everything about Nebraska.

Nebraska is his clear leader at this point in time.

He is considering several teams for the remaining 2 official visits.  Penn State, however, is not one of them.

"Clemson, Syracuse, Iowa, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Alabama.  They've all offered.

"Penn State offered me, but I'm not really considering them anymore.  I was, but not anymore.  It just wasn't where I needed to be.

"I just want to go somewhere with a winning tradition, good academics and with a coaching staff and players that I can just be around and have a good time, and also win championships.  That's why I like Nebraska so much, because they fit all those roles."

"I just don't see myself, right now, going to Penn State."

Buster will "most likely" take all of his official visits.
