MD Defender Expects More Offers

Last season, Louis tallied 73 tackles, 3 sacks, and 1 interception. As a tight-end on offense, he made 10 receptions for 180 yards including 1 touchdown. His efforts earned him several post-season honors including 2nd Team All-State, 1st Team All-County, 1st Team All-Journal and 2nd Team All-Metro.

At the conclusion of Saturday's Nike Camp, Lion News had the chance to chat with Louis briefly.

Which schools are recruiting him?

"Penn State, Maryland, Pitt and Syracuse are all probably real close to offers, probably coming this summer. I already have an offer from Kent State."

Has he been to any other camps at PSU or elsewhere?

"I went to Maryland camp last year and that's where I started getting noticed."

What's Penn State's interest in him?

"As a defensive-end, outside linebacker type player. They saw a little bit of tape of me at tight-end and they really liked that too."

Does he have any favorites?

"At the top of my list is probably Pitt. I just really like the coaching staff over there. They really impressed me when they came to see me at school. Under them is Maryland, Penn State, Syracuse and Kent State."

Larry Johnson is recruiting Louis for Penn State.
