Kyle is ranked 39th on the top high school football prospects list compiled by TheInsiders.com.
Kyle is recovering well from his torn ACL injury and is still considered to be one of the top prospects in the nation.
West Bloomfield was 2-1 when Kyle went down with his injury, but finished the season 4-5. When healthy, Kyle played several positions.
"I played running back, quarterback and receiver," Kyle said. "I played corner on defense. I being recruited as a wide receiver."
Kyle took an official visit to Purdue last weekend. He will also take official visits to Southern Cal this weekend, Michigan State on December 8, and Oklahoma on the 14th of December.
"I haven't set up my 5th visit yet. I'm trying to decide between Ohio State, Georgia and Georgia Tech."
Kyle has also been contemplating a visit to Penn State.
"Yeah, I may consider them too. It's possible. I'm still thinking about it."
Coach Vanderlinden is still recruiting Kyle pretty hard.
"He calls me about once a week."
Kyle had good things to say about Penn State.
"I like Joe Paterno. I like the area because I went up there earlier this year for a junior day. I think it was in February. My dad wanted to see how it was out there. We didn't stay for the basketball game, we just stayed for the campus tour and talked with the coaches and everything. I got to meet Joe Paterno, his son, and most of the other coaches. My dad and I had lunch with Joe Paterno, his son and another recruit from Ohio I think. It was nice out there."
Penn State still has some ground to make up on Kyle's top teams.
"I know some guys that have committed to Michigan State real well. That's why Penn State is not real high on my list, because I don't know what they have for the future. So, I may have to look into that."
It appears as though Michigan State is Kyle's slight favorite at this time although he denied having a leader.
"I really don't have a favorite right now. I'd say it's pretty much the same between USC, Oklahoma, Michigan State and Purdue."
Kyle was in East Lansing last weekend.
"I saw Penn State and Michigan State play last week. I was just watching the game. I wasn't really cheering for anybody."
What did he think of Penn State's offense?
"I like it a lot, it was a good offense they ran."
How about Zach Mills?
"Yeah, I was impressed because he was a freshman. I was impressed by him a lot."
