Will "Game Time" Visit Happy Valley?

Oak Creek, Wi. defensive end Raymond Henderson has quite a list of offers. Which schools could get official visits? Is Penn State in that mix? Will he be a package deal?

With a laundry list of schools who have offered you a scholarship the likes of Louisiana State, Arkansas, Iowa, Miami (Fl), Minnesota, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Tennessee, UCLA, it has got to be nearly impossible picking just five to visit officially.  But that's the dilemma that faces Oak Creek, Wi. defensive end Raymond Henderson.

"I haven't set up any yet, but I know for sure that I'm going to take a visit to LSU," said Raymond, whose nickname is "Game Time."

"I've got family that lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and I've got an uncle that lives in New Orleans, Louisiana, so that's probably the reason I'm going to take a visit to LSU.  I like their program also."

Does Raymond have any other visits in mind?

"I'm still trying to wait to see what other four schools I want to visit for sure.  I'm taking all my visits before I make a decision."

Although he has not been to Penn State, the Nittany Lions have offered and seem to have a chance at hosting Raymond sometime this fall.

"I know they've got a great program, great coaches, some of the coaches came up to see me.  I don't remember his name but he was a real nice guy.  They have great tradition and good academics -- that's what I like about Penn State," he explained, adding defensive line coach Larry Johnson sends him something almost everyday.

"I like Penn State, it's just that when it comes down to official visit I'm trying to do research on all the programs before I set up visits."

What specific areas about the programs is he researching?

"Academics, a team-like environment, a family-like environment, how the coaches are and stuff.  I'm looking a lot at academics, how they are -- the team record, and how many players they've got coming back."

Oak Creek also has a very talented linebacker, Travis Beckum, who has offers from many of the same programs as Raymond.  Are Travis and Raymond planning on attending the same school?

"Yes, we are," said Raymond, admitting he's not sure if Travis will be visiting LSU with him. "It's not in stone.  But we would like for it to happen."

With his visits on the horizon, has Raymond decided on a date when he would like to make his decision public?

"I want to decide during that Tom Lemming game, during that time."
