Nyan, who has been very active this summer, travelling around the country playing basketball and checking out collegiate football programs, now finds himself forced to take it easy.
"I got hurt, I broke my ankle," said Nyan who hopes he can return to playing football late in the season. "So, I've just been home and I've been taking things lightly really. I haven't really focused on recruiting lately. I got hurt like two weeks ago. I broke it and I had surgery on it in Boston. I got pins in it. They come out next Wednesday."
"Right now, my leader is Maryland. I'm going to take a visit to Nebraska and to Michigan State and I don't know what the others are going to be."
Though unable to recall the exact dates for his two scheduled visits, Nyan said they will be in October.
A recent article on another website quoted Nyan as saying that Penn State had jumped in front of Maryland as his current favorite.
"Those are my top two schools. I'm going to take a visit to Penn State too."
Was Nyan misquoted or have things changed since the article was written?
"No, they didn't misquote me, but I told the guy that they're both my top schools, but he just put Penn State I guess."
The Terps apparently still have a slight lead over the Nittany Lions.
"A little bit, because of the basketball program."
Boateng previously had a chance to speak with the basketball coaches at Penn State and says they are recruiting him.
What does he like about Penn State?
"Joe Paterno, of course, and the reputation he has. And, the recruits that they might get this year with Justin [King] and Derrick [Williams] and all those guys. They're very interested in them (PSU). We've all been talking for a while."
