"Oh yeah, I committed yesterday," Levi said.
"I really knew for a long time that I was going to go there. My mom, dad and I sat down, and they said that it would be kind of unfair for me to wait to commit because I could be holding up other people from getting scholarships. So, I just wanted to commit."
Levi was leaning to Penn State after attending summer camps there for the past couple of years. He took an official visit to Penn State on December 7, and although the visit was largely uneventful, Levi felt comfortable at Penn State.
"The visit was all right. They were taking finals the next week, so most of them were studying. I just basically sat in the dorm room playing video games and watching TV.
"I met quite a few players though. I don't remember half of their names. Jason Robinson was my host. I also met Anthony Adams."
What separated Penn State from Virginia Tech?
"My relationship with the players, basically. The players that I met, and how they interacted with their coaches and other people."
Penn State coach Bill Kenney was recruiting Levi.
Does Levi have a message for Penn State fans?
"I'm just going to come out, play hard and do my best to try and win this thing."
Levi says that there is no chance he will change his mind.
He is already qualified for freshman eligibility and plans to major in Computer Engineering.
