Wednesday evening, LionNews caught up with Derrick Williams' father, Dwight Williams, and asked him if he and Derrick were indeed planning to take an official visit to Penn State this weekend as has been reported.

"Yeah," the elder Williams confirmed, "we probably will."

Is it not definite?

"It's pretty definite."

The Nittany Lions, however, will be on the road this Saturday, taking on the Ohio State Buckeyes in Columbus. Derrick obviously will not get a chance to experience a gameday setting in Beaver Stadium during the visit.

"Derrick's games are on Saturdays too, so we're not going to be able to go to anyone's games. Derrick's out of school on Monday."

The Williams will most likely head up to Happy Valley later on Saturday and stay through Monday. What has them interested in Penn State?

"We're just going to go to Penn State. What's happening is everybody is getting stories here and there, and we want to have a little bit of privacy on what we're doing," said Dwight Williams before adding, "Joe Paterno was one of the first that offered Derrick a scholarship."

Who's recruiting Derrick for Penn State?

"Joe Paterno and Larry Johnson."

Derrick has taken only one official visit so far, to Florida a month ago. Have they set up any other official visits?

"We're keeping that to ourselves."
