Height: 6'5"
Weight: 280 pounds
40 Speed: 4.87 seconds

Monday evening Landolt decided it was time to make a decision about where he'd be playing his college football.

"I tried to call coach Vanderlinden, but he didn't answer so I called coach Paterno himself," said Landolt. "He seemed pretty excited."

When did you reach the point in time when you just said I'm ready to make a decision?

"I knew before my official visit happened," said Landolt "I liked everything about the place, and my visit just confirmed that."

Did Justin King or Lydell Sargeant speak to you?

"I met them during my visit," said Landolt "I like Penn State the whole time, so their decisions really didn't weigh on me too much."

What position have the coaches told you that you'll be playing?

"They said offensive tackle."

What is your take on the whole Paterno coaching rumors?

"JoePa will be around for a few years. They basically told us if something happens they will hire someone that can keep it going."

What teams were you looking at in the end?

"It was between Penn State and Virginia Tech."

Landolt is the ninth verbal for the class of 2005, and the first lineman.
