"It was real good, a lot of fun," Vince said about his official visit to Penn State this past weekend."
What would he give the visit on a scale of 1 to 10?
"I'd say 9 1/2, 10."
Penn State quarterback Zack Mills was his host. He also got to hang around Tony Johnson and Adam Taliaferro a lot.
He did not yet commit to Penn State, but is leaning towards playing for the Nittany Lions.
"I'll probably decide on Friday because Ohio State said they'd get back to me in the middle of the week."
The Buckeyes have not yet offered Vince a scholarship. Vince has already taken an official visit to Ohio State.
"The Penn State visit was definitely a little bit better. I got along with the coaching staff at Penn State a little bit better. Joe Paterno is pretty easy to get along with.
"I like the character of the football team and the attitude that all of the players had. They seem like they're ready to be successful again and get Penn State's program turned back around. The coaches seem pretty dedicated to the players and to winning."
Penn State is recruiting Vince primarily as a safety. He could also get some consideration at the quarterback spot.
"There is an outside chance because of Matt Senneca going to graduate school."
What if Ohio State offered him a scholarship in the next couple of days?
"I'd have to sit down and talk it over with my parents. The [Penn State] coaches told me that I have a really good chance as a freshman to play safety, to get a lot of playing time. At Ohio State, they have so many defensive backs already on scholarship that I feel my chances would be better at Penn State."
Penn State has offered Vince a scholarship. Iowa offered Vince last week. He also has offers from Northwestern and all of the MAC schools except Marshall.
