Mark confirmed the news that was reported by LionNews on Wednesday afternoon.

"It sort of leaked through somehow, so, yeah, I'm going to Penn State," Mark admitted.

"Basically, on Wednesday, I sat down with my coach and sorted things out.  It was the obvious decision to go to Penn State.

"It came down to Pitt and Penn State and I just thought Pitt was second class to what Penn State has to offer and what they're doing this year with recruiting."

"They're getting players that are getting offers from great schools.  Pitt's not doing that great."

The coaching staff at Penn State was also a major factor.

Mark is not sure if he will play offensive tackle or guard, but he is excited to play for the Nittany Lions.

"I'm looking forward to it."

Has his decision drawn much criticism from fellow Pittsburgh residents?

"No, the majority of people loved it."
