Jahkeen Gilmore

According to Poly Prep head coach Dino Mangiero, Jahkeen will take an official visit to Indiana this weekend.

He also said that he has been in contact with Penn State coach Brian Norwood within the last couple of days and that Jahkeen will take his last official visit to State College on February 1st.

Coach Mangiero said that Jahkeen "is a monster" and has over 20 offers.

He has already taken official visits to Wisconsin, Michigan State and Pitt.

Tamba Hali

"I'm beat right now," Tamba said. "I just came home from a [basketball] game."

"I played the 3, 4 and 5 positions. I had around 8 points."

Is he going to have a press conference today (Friday)?

"No, I'm not."

According to Tamba, the announcement will be made publicly.

"Yeah, it's going to be on TV. I think it's going to be on Wednesday. It won't be at my school, it's going to be at the TV station."

"I'm probably going to come to a conclusion on Monday, but I'm not going to announce it publicly."

Penn State head coach Joe Paterno visited Tamba yesterday.

"It went well."

Miami head coach Larry Coker "was in already, last week".

Assistant coaches from Syracuse also visited Tamba yesterday.

"I don't have any favorite."

Tamba will choose between Penn State, Syracuse and Miami.

John Kerr

"I'm doing all right," John said.

Did someone from the Penn State coaching staff visit John today as scheduled?

"No, they don't know if they have a scholarship for me. They talked to my dad."

"If they do [visit], it'll be next week. They don't know what the scholarship situation is like. We'll see, I don't know what'll happen."

"I don't know if they will [visit] or not, but they said if they do, it'll be Tuesday or Thursday."

"I'm really going to look at West Virginia. I have to."

John did not expect much before taking an official visit to Penn State on January 18-20.

"I went down there and fell in love with the place. The place is just unbelievable. I didn't know it was like that."

John also mentioned that the Penn State coaching staff consists of a "higher class" of coaches.

Penn State is obviously John's clear favorite.

Cedric Taylor

According to Mandarin High head coach Richard Burnoski, Cedric will now start taking the SAT this weekend, instead of starting it next Monday.

"He's starting this Saturday," Coach Burnoski said. "He's going to put 5 hours in on Saturday. If he can't finish it then, we'll stay real late on Saturday. If not, we're going to finish it up on Monday and Tuesday."

"We're going to do our best to get it done on Saturday."

"We'd like to get it done Saturday, overnight it and have it to them Monday morning so we can get the results by Wednesday morning. Then we'll get a flight on Friday."

Has he talked with Penn State very recently?

"I did not talk to them yet. Actually, I talked to Wisconsin today and they wanted to fly him up, but he said that he wants to go to Penn State. I put 2 calls in [to Penn State]. I'm expecting a call back."

"He's huge. He's around 5'10" and 250 pounds. He carries it well."
