Austin Scott Injured

Austin Scott, Penn State's 6-foot, 214-pound running back from Allentown, Pa. (Parkland High), sustained an injury Tuesday during conditioning drills.

Two team sources have told FOS that during a bag-jump drill, Austin Scott caught his left foot on the bag and came down wrong, breaking his left ankle. One source said Scott will have surgery Thursday.

He is expected to be out approximately a month and a half to recover, which would cause him to miss most of spring drills. Practice begins March 28 and wraps up with the Blue-White game April 23.

Last season Scott had 55 carries for 312 yards and two touchdowns.
