Claxton On All-Rookie Team

Penn State freshman small forward Geary Claxton made the Big Ten All-Freshman team, which was announced Tuesday.

Geary Claxton finished the regular season as the Nittany Lions' leading scorer and was the second-leading scorer among Big Ten rookies (12.4 ppg). He was the top freshman rebounder in the league (6.1 rpg).

Indiana's D.J. White was named Freshman of the Year. Claxton finished second in that balloting.

The only other Lions to be honored by the Big Ten were junior Aaron Johnson, who was an honorable-mention pick by the media, and senior Kevin Fellows, who won a sportsmanship award.
