Logan-El Visiting Happy Valley

Antonio Logan-El jumped at his first scholarship offer from Maryland and he committed. That was a year or so ago and since then the big lineman has changed his mind, decided to check out some other schools and start his recruiting process over again.

Forestville (Md.) offensive lineman Antonio Logan-El (6-6, 320, 5.2) came to a decision a few months ago: He decided to look around.

"Myself, my grandfather and my high school coach went to Maryland and we told them my plans were to look around," Logan-El said. "Maryland has supported me 100 percent through all of this."

Penn State is among a group of schools that Logan-El is interested in; he will soon visit University Park.

"I'm heading up to Penn State on July 29," Logan-El said. "I'm probably going to setup an official visit with them while I'm there."

Logan-El had set prior visits to Oklahoma and Florida as well.

"I'm going to Oklahoma on September 2," he said. "I'm going to Florida a week or two after that, I'm not sure on the date right now. I'm not sure if I'm taking all five visits, I may take four."

Admittedly, interest in the Maryland standout didn't begin in earnest until he announced that he was no longer a solid verbal to Maryland.

"I have 33 offers right now," Logan-El said. "A lot of schools started contacting me after I backed off of my verbal."

Penn State is among a group of five leaders for his services.

"Right now I'd say Maryland, Oklahoma, Florida, Penn State and Virginia," Logan-El said. ‘I do have some interest in Tennessee, Boston College and Illinois as well.
