FOS VIDEO: Lavon Chisley

Penn State's senior defensive end talks about splitting time with two other veterans, his enthusiasm for the 2005 season and how the Nittany Lion rookies are doing as preseason camp draws near.

Penn State has three senior defensive ends, all of whom appear to have NFL futures. Unfortunately, the Nittany Lion defense, like nearly every other outfit in the nation, only starts two players at DE.

That mean of the three veterans at PSU — Lavon Chisley, Tamba Hali and Matthew Rice — only two will get the starting nod in a given game.

Is that a difficult situation for the trio? Not at all, said Chisley.

“We all just want to play football and we all want to have a winning record,” he explained in a brief interview at the Lift For Life Challenge July 15.
