Nittany Lions on the List

Early September will be an exciting time for college football fans in Pennsylvania as one of the top defensive ends in the Northeast will visit Penn State and Pitt on back-to-back weekends. But the Nittany Lions and the Panthers aren't the only schools in the running.

Middletown (Del.) defensive end Eric Latimore (6-6, 240, 4.8) holds offers from Pittsburgh, Penn State, West Virginia, Rutgers, Marshall, Western Michigan, Middle Tennessee State and Delaware. He recently made plans for two of his official visits.

"I'm taking an official to Pittsburgh (9/3) for the Notre Dame game," Latimore said. "I'm going to Penn State the weekend after that (9/10) for the Cincinnati game. I'm going to try and get down to check out the Ohio State game also."

Syracuse has recently entered the mix as well.

"They started recruiting me pretty hard," Latimore said. "Coach Cross basically said if I come down they'd offer, so I'll likely set something up with them."

Latimore may also set-up a visit to Miami to see what the Hurricanes have to offer.

"They haven't offered me yet, but I keep in contact with Coach Kehoe and Coach Mark," he said. "I definitely want to try and get down there."

As a junior, Latimore tallied 60 tackles and 12 sacks.
