Love Likes PSU Visit

Philly big man Jason Love was in town for an official visit over the weekend. He plan to take four more trips before making up his mind in the early signing period.

After taking his first official visit this past weekend to Penn State, Jason Love is on the tough road to making a decision.

With Nittany Lion sophomore forward Geary Claxton serving as his host, Love, a 6-foot-9 center from Abington Friends High near Philadelphia, came away very impressed with Penn State. He enjoyed the campus and coaching staff, but most of all he felt he fit in well with the team.

“I think a highlight was the guys there,” he said. “Especially Geary [Claxton] and how much we clicked with each other and how much I liked everybody. It just felt genuine that all the guys liked me and I liked them. That was the biggest thing that stuck out in my mind.”

Love has good range with ability to hit the 15-footer and he’s a very physical post player to have under the basket. He feels that he needs to work on his inside movement and quickness on the ball.

Love has four other schools lined up for official visits, starting with Xavier this weekend, followed by Providence, La Salle and finally Virginia. Love hopes to make his decision during the early signing period, after his final visit.
