FOS Audio: Williams & King

Penn State freshmen Derrick Williams and Justin King entered the program amid a whirl of hype. Somehow the two rookies, along with several other outstanding first-year players, have lived up to it. Saturday Williams and King got their first taste of a post-game press conference at Beaver Stadium.

In State's 44-14 win over Minnesota, both freshmen played key roles.

Williams played tailback and wideout, rushing for 40 yards and two scores and catching two balls for 32 yards.

King played wideout and cornerback, taking an end-around 19 yards for an important first-down early in the game and breaking up a pass while seeing serious defensive action in the second half.

"Those [two] are as good as advertised," Gopher coach Glen Mason said. "When a guy like [Joe] Paterno is throwing around accolades, you know they're something special."

Hear what they had to say after the game below.
