Recruiting Roundup. Class of '06

Find out how the Class of 2006 members performed this weekend despite the nasty weather. With several undefeated seasons on the line were the future Lions able to preserve their perfect seasons?

Brett Brackett: 6-foot-6, 235 pound, 4.7 second quarterback, Lawrenceville, N.J. (Lawrence High)

Brackett showed gret versatility again with both his arm and feet, leading his Cardinal team to a 4-0 record thanks to a 27-14 win over Trenton.

Brackett tossed one touchdown (30 yard strike) and ran for another despite facing their narrowest margin of victory this season as the fourth quarter wound down. Brackett completed two key passes and ran in the final score to seal the deal and preserve their undefeated record.

Tom McEowen: 6-foot-4, 280 pound, 4.9 second defensive tackle, Langhorne, Pa. (Neshaminy HS)

McEowen helped to hand Neshaminy their fifth decisive victory in a row with a 24-0 shutout of Pennridge.

His "Mud Bowl" performance brought McEowen's season totals to 34 tackles (eight for loss) and two sacks. He also has one interception and one pass breakup on the year.

Doug Klopacz: 6-foot-3, 260 pound, 4.8 second lineman, Montvale, N.J. (St. Joseph Regional)

St. Joseph's did not get the outcome they were hoping for against Don Bosco Prep. Klopacz saw time on defense at end, however the Don Bosco offensive line was too much for the St. Joe's defensive front seven.

Given the harsh weather the Eastern region saw this weekend many games were postponed. We will have updates on Ollie Ogbu, Abe Koroma and PSU's news Class of 2006, Aaron Maybin, in the near future.
